Here
we are peeps! Only a week and a half left in December and in 2013! I really
can’t believe so much time has passed! This past week has been a whirl wind of
emotions for me.
I
was so grateful to have Ma visiting us for a few extra days after LJ’s party!
It was nice to have her in the house...however! My idea was that Ma was
supposed to be resting! Ma had a knee surgery the week before and was not
supposed to be up and walking so much! Do you think this happened?!? NO! She
was soaking up every second with the boys. Which I can totally understand,
but....defeated the purpose of rest! Also, it totally makes me feel guilty when
I see her doing stuff in my house! Partly because I don’t want her to feel she
has to and partly because I’m thankful because in reality....I’m exhausted and
lazy after work! :-/ So there is the honesty! I absolutely love having Ma
here....but she needs to learn to kick back a little!
Ok!! So I'm finally getting to the birthday recap peeps! It was truly an awesome birthday and I think everyone enjoyed it so much! The weather turned out perfect and LJ definitely was a show off for the day!
It's been a quiet week here at Organized Chaos! But that's okay! We all need those weeks ya know!
It's LJ's birthday week, so I've been neck deep in party planning and have a whole night and morning ahead with more work that I think is possible to complete! ;-)
I can't believe that a year has passed already. Last night as I held you in my arms, I could just see that very first moment I held you! It all happened so quick and before we knew it you were born!
No. I’m not so big on my birthday. I LOVE celebrating Hubby’s and the kids and plan each year to do something…I usually end up working on my birthday lol
3. When are your SOs and kids birthday? Do they fall close together?
Hubby’s is June 10 (5 days after our anniversary!) LJ is December 12 and Lil Mister is January 7. So yea we have birthday….13 days Christmas….12 days birthday!!! It’s expensive!
4. How do you celebrate their birthdays?
We usually have a braai for Hubby’s birthday. A relaxing evening with friends is all he usually asks for. The kids get a party in the afternoon with friends and family and then it usually stretches into the evening hours because the adults braai while the kids run out their sugar high! ;-)
5. If you could have one thing for your next birthday what would it be?
New…decent running shoes! LoL and a gym membership! ;-) The winter hours here means it’s dark in the morning and when I get home from work so running becomes impossible. It just isn’t safe here. I’d love a gym membership where I could bust it out during these winter months!
Okay, now it's your turn. Grab the button and questions and repost on your page!!! You don't have to answer the questions, you can just repost the button on your sidebar or in a post. Link your page or post up and mingle with other bloggers!!! No rules, just meet new people!
Okay...I'm sure every mom says this but...
it really does seem like it was just yesterday that I was holding my Lil Mister for the first time!
Now he's 2!!
It hardly seems possible or real! He is changing more and more by the day. I can't believe how large his vocab has become. Nor that he is doing so well in BOTH languages.
He is an amazing big brother and has put all my fears aside.
I'm proud to be his mommy!
As he gets older though, my fears for his life become stronger. I worry about this world that he is growing up in. I fret over the opportunities both good and bad that will come his way. I wonder about the people that he will cross paths with. I envision the roads he will choose to walk.
I pray every day and every night that I am raising him to be the man God set him to be. I pray that I am doing my role and that I am making him proud to be my son!
I've tried many times to think of the words to say all that I feel about being a mother, but I believe that one song does it best.
