You might have read previously about how Hubby and I
were actually married about 20 days before our wedding.
Today, however, we celebrate our anniversary. The
anniversary we publically recognize that is!
We planned our entire wedding in less than 2 months! I
will do a short series on this soon.
Today, though, I want to focus on my time I’ve had with my Hubby Dearest!!
Hubby Dearest,
In the grand scheme of the world, four years seems so
diminutive, however, in looking into these years with you I know how great this
really is!
These four years have without a doubt put us through
some jagged waters. We’ve been at the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.
I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
In August, it will be five years from the day we met.
I know we were quick to begin our life together and it represents the tenacity
we have towards our relationship and family! I still think often of the moment
I laid eyes on you.
God placed a burning desire in me for your home. At the time, I had all the reasons and explanations in the world for why this was, but He knew the ultimate goal. He assured me long before that I would be taken care of and supported. That I would one day fine ‘home.’
I knew in that moment that we spoke that this was it.
I faltered and got scared, but I placed my trust in God’s hands and my heart in
yours. Thank you for always taking care of it.
Four years, countless moves, and two kids later and
our life is just beginning! We have so much ahead of us and God has HUGE plans
for our life together.
I am so proud of you.
Thank you for your loving care for our family. The
nights you wrestle with Lil Mister on the floor and rock LJ until he sleeps
peacefully. Thank you for your never ending pursuit of me! You always remind me
of how beautiful I am in your eyes. Thank you for the role you take on in our
family. I couldn’t build this home without you. And if I don’t say it enough…I
appreciate every ounce that you give to us. Because I know…when the days are
long and the kids are busy and the house is a mess….there is very little left
for yourself. But you manage to keep on giving. You amaze me!
You are my penguin in this life. We’ll continue on
through all the waters in the sea and no storm is too much for God to carry us
through. I am truly blessed!
So here’s to four years and forty times forty more! I
love you!
Your Wife….
XOXxx
