Stuck between a rock and a hard place

I've done it again peeps. I've hit a lull in my writing.
This time, though, it isn't because I don't want to write. I have so many ideas swirling around in my head, it is starting to make me sea sick!

I have some updates on Hubby and I. Some great resource on our lifestyle choices. Some wonderful devotionals to share. Wittiness from the kids. And another two posts about our vacation. All of this and more that I want to get up on this little page.

However, time just seems to be non-existent these days! Work has been 100% hectic since I returned from leave. I thought it was just because I had been gone a week and had some catching up to do. Then I thought maybe it's because I'm out of routine and just need to get settled back in.

Nope, it seems like in that week I was gone...people started to realize how much I actually am capable of. While on the one hand...this is great! I love being appreciated, trusted and I enjoy being able to assist my co-workers. On the other hand, it's leaving me very little time to breath. LoL Work is work and it is what I get paid to do....I was just so used to having a little bit of down time each day! ;-)

On top of that, we have the boys' birthdays in the next 30 days! LJ's is next Thursday and the little booger will be one. We're having his party that Saturday. Lil Mister is 3 January 7th and his party is the 4th! So, I'm trying to plan and prepare. I've been at this for a couple of months but just didn't make the progress I'd hoped for. I'm now feeling the pressure of this!

LJ is having a Once Upon a Time birthday. I know it seems weird since he is a boy....but it's very royal. The colors are gold, royal blue, and purple with hints of silver. We have twinkle lights and stars and moons. And we're using the following quote as the center point:

I'm hoping everything turns out....and that it isn't too jumbled and messy and random. Because my brain is quite random right now!

  1. I used to cringe coming back from a vacation. My office dumped everything on my desk and chair and I needed another week of vacation just to catch up on my pile!

I love the idea for LJ's party!

  2. My son's birthday is January 5 so I totally get feeling like you have to plan way ahead of time because with the holidays it's January before you know it!

  3. Awww - such a hectic time for you. I feel your pain. My birthday is next week, my brother's is the 18th. Then my oldest is turning six on January 7th (like your little one)! Then the hubby and I celebrate our anniversary on January 20th, followed up by my grandma's birthday on the 29th. Such a busy time. I can't keep up either and the days are just flying by!

Wishing you some moments to collect your thoughts.

  4. That's so cool that our kids share a birthday! hehe How random! Yes, I also have my dad's birthday, my FIL birthday, my step-sisters birthday, a cousin and a few friends between December and January! LoL With no school, work and family time on top of it....it's just a lot. But I praise God for the opportunities to celebrate with loved ones!

  5. Exactly! If I wait until now to even start....well let's just say he'd be lucky to get a cake at the end of it! I started in July...I think this year I start the day after his birthday!

  7. Hope the party went well! It sounds fun - who cares if he's a boy :) My sister just had her baby (on the 3rd), that will be the first december birthday in our family! Hope life is a little less hectic soon!
