Budget Vegetarian Lentil Shepherd's Pie

I’ve been writing a little on how Hubby and I are working to cut back on our grocery bill. One thing that we have done is cut out meat twice a week in our lives! Why you ask?

For me, this wasn’t difficult. I went down the whole organic/vegetarian route for a little while just after high school and actually for the most part I enjoyed it! For Hubby, it’s an easy way to save a few bucks and he knows I will still provide meals that fulfill him!

We eat leftovers many days a week for lunch so some days we are eating meat twice a day even! So....two meatless dinners a week. No problem!

I needed to get creative though! We didn’t want to eat scrambled eggs and omelets all the time! ;-) Though we do eat that a lot....I needed something more. So I started rummaging around the internet. Google...you’ve got a friend in me!

Can I Cure Being Homesick?

Do you ever get so busy you forget to drink something for a while? Well, I do....especially at work! I like to get in a minimum of 8 glasses of water a day. Ones about this size.

Priceless Collectables

This week Jenn proposed a topic theme on collections.

To be honest, I was a little thrown at first. I don’t collect. I mean...yea, if you walk in my house on a Monday morning as I’m rushing out the door to work, it might appear as if I collect dirty nappies in the trash can! ;-)

Oh....and by the appearance of my closets, you’d swear I collect baby clothes and car seats!

I’m pretty sure there is a collection of missing toy car wheels in my night side table draw that need replacing and by the way my jeans fit....I think I’m collecting a few kilo’s too!

I’m taking a short break again from the Kids ‘n Worship series again this week! Mostly because I am in the middle of working on it with Lil Mister so we can bring you some wall breaking content!

When I started blogging, I knew immediately that one of the things I was going to enjoy the most about the experience was the relationships I was going to develop with fellow bloggers! Don’t let anyone fool you, the friendships you can make through the blogosphere are just as good as in real life friendships!

This Weeks Questions:

1. What is your dream job? 

I'm torn when answering this. I would have to say, if time wasn't an issue and I could plan things around my OWN schedule and therefore make it work for my children and husband...I'd love to have my own restaurant. I loved the 10 years I spent in food service and if it wasn't the schedules...I'd go back to it. I miss the restaurant and always dreamed of my own one day!
