DIY Greenhouses for Raised Garden Beds
I live in a Plant Hardiness Zone 3 which doesn't give us a long growing season. To make matters worse our yard faces north and we live in a mature neighborhood with lots of trees which = shade. Getting a high yielding crop of tomatoes, cucumbers, and zucchini has been a challenge, especially trying to grow them organically.
Caramel Brownie Muddy Buddies | a.k.a Puppy Chow
I rarely stray from the original recipe well, because it is so good.
But a few weeks ago while my kids were coming up with ideas for recipes, one of their friends suggested Brownie Muddy Buddies.
A friend asked me to make her a carseat canopy for her nephew, so I figured I would include the tutorial for how I did it. These covers are actually pretty simple to make, and really don't take much time. It's so much easier to have one of these than to drape a blanket over the seat, because a carseat canopy allows for the handle to still be accessible.
Do your kids seem to have more energy when it's warm and sunny outside? Mine does.
As I was trying to think of things for our next theme learning day on space, I came up with a fun little toss game to help our daughter work off some of that extra energy.
Have you ever made a really costly mistake?
A costly dumb mistake?
Yeah, been there, done that.
But when it could have easily been prevented...
ouch...it hurts even more!
This recipe has revolutionized my family’s summer. My kids go crazy for this ice cream recipe and they can even make it themselves. Chocolate ice cream is a summer necessity in our house, and probably almost every house in the country. Nothing beats playing outside in the heat for hours then coming in for a bowl of homemade chocolate ice cream , there are few things that can top that!
FABBY: Father's Day Buffet Setting
I decided to go for a buffet table for Father's Day 2014...opposed to a sit down dinner.
I used my 'Multiple Choice' mix and match black and white china to give it a masculine aura to the the buffet setting; among other elements accordingly.
