Wordless Wednesday: Sleepovers

This weekend I had a "sleepover" with a friend and her kids here in our new town! Both our men work for the same company and were gone Saturday for a stock take at another branch. To be honest, I was livid with jealousy as they were back in our old town with all our old friends! But rather than stay home, we decided us wives would ban together!

The oldest daughter was in high heaven as she got to do my makeup, nails and hair! What a sleepover it was!

Wordless Wednesday- Weekends with Friends

I had a fabulous weekend as C decided to make a last minute trip to us! It was late when they got in Friday night but of course we had a braai, followed by amazing food and chats on Saturday and a night out as they wanted to treat us! I am so blessed to have her as my best friend and it was so relaxing to feel so at home! From the moment they stopped here, everything just felt normal!

What you Missed: Birthday Week!

It's been a quiet week here at Organized Chaos! But that's okay! We all need those weeks ya know! 

It's LJ's birthday week, so I've been neck deep in party planning and have a whole night and morning ahead with more work that I think is possible to complete! ;-)

Weekend Recap: Part 2: Sunday School Picnic

Did I mention that this weekend kicked my cabootie? Well, it did! I did tell yall about the awesome concert we went to Friday night and how much fun we had.

What did I learn? That I can’t consider an easy night a few drinks anymore. And literally, I mean a few....it was too much! Used to, that amount would have never affected me. But it’s true what they say about your tolerance lowering if you aren’t exposed.

I really though I was within boundaries because I’m not a big fan of over doing it. I don’t believe it is right. I believe that God frowns upon it.

However, I misjudged and I paid for it Saturday morning. And believe me...I asked God for his forgiveness immediately. It’s also at the top of my list to remain to my rule of two glasses and finished!

A Weekend Update: Part 1: A Concert

Oh, you read that right peeps. This weekend update will be coming to you in segments. Why?

Well, firstly because I was a picture taking fool and do not want to bombard you with all of them at once. You must be given the opportunity to appreciate my mediocre photography skills.

And because we were ridiculously busy!

I had said over and over again....that I needed a weekend by the house. A weekend where I don't need to go to the grocery store, and no one was coming over. A weekend where we didn't have plans to go anywhere and that I could focus on the kids and cleaning!

I'm grateful for friends. Friends that carry us through the good and the bad. Friends that laugh at the ridiculous things we do instead of judge. Friends that lean on us for support when the skies look a little to gray. Friends that make memories to last a lifetime!

Hi, peeps! How was your weekend? Lekker I hope! Ours was busy and restful and full of excitement!

We’ve been so blessed over the last year....it’s actually hard for even us to believe. And sure enough, through consistent prayer to have our lives fall in line with God’s will, we have been assured that we will be going to Durban to visit our Grandparents later this month! God is truly amazing! Finances were a little bit tight and our original plans had fallen through. We were praying hard for God to provide us a way...and if everything goes smoothly, that path has been laid. So...the countdown begins!
