I just want to stop today....it seems so strange to me! I'm not used to being at home!

Last week I lost my job. There has been problems with getting my visa re-issued and although I am 100% legal in the country, I'm not allowed to work without that sticker in my passport!

In a way, we knew this was coming. We've been trying so hard to get that sticker but for some reason there have been continuous road blocks. And to be honest, be being at home unemployed is not in our best financial interests right now.

With July being marriage month on the blog, I thought we'd listen to some love songs today! I know they can be cheesy sometimes but no matter what mood I'm in if I start listening I'll find myself dreaming of reasons why I love Hubby! daydream today that you're singing these with your spouse. Weekend Update and Prayer Request

Hi peeps! So our long weekend is over! I spoke last week about how I really needed to use this weekend to try some different parenting approaches and refocus our family. To be honest, it was a 50/50 weekend! I really worked hard with Lil Mister and the toilet. He did ah-mazing until last night. Of course, he had to bring my spirits down by giving me something to clean!

Otherwise....

LJ decided he was cold and spent some time in the warmer! Don't worry it wasn't on!

Today, I want to focus on a huge aspect of our marriages. Probably one of the most important things you can do for your marriage! Last week, we discussed the Purpose of Marriage. God is our purpose....He is the focus and the glue that holds our marriages together!

So, probably the most essential thing you can do for your marriage is...Pray! Specifically, today I want to focus on praying for your husband!

When Crime Violates Your Personal Space

If you don’t follow my personal page, you won’t know this, however, a couple of months ago....South Africa’s crime eventually affected my family. Finally seems like such a better word than eventually, but finally makes me feel as if we were waiting for it. Which we were not. In fact, I had been living quiet blindly up until now.

I love this country and am grateful that we choose to make our home here. I’ve mentioned on several occasions how much I miss America and this is wholly true. Yet, I love our life here. I love the values this country is instilling in my children and myself as well as the cultural diversity we are exposed to daily!

Sunday, Hubby and I got into a big discussion about prayer and it's impact on our lives. We both agreed that we can see a huge and substantial difference in our lives, marriage, and home when we are and aren't praying! We agreed that although we've both always been making an effort to continually pray...we want to pray together out loud more often. We want to spend more time being prayer warriors!
