Giveaways| Prayers| Marriage| Music

Please read to the bottom: There is some very important information down there! ;-)

With July being marriage month on the blog, I thought we'd listen to some love songs today! I know they can be cheesy sometimes but no matter what mood I'm in if I start listening I'll find myself dreaming of reasons why I love Hubby! daydream today that you're singing these with your spouse. Daydream that your holding their hand. Go sing to them! Hold their hand! ;-)
Hosea 2:19 And I will betroth you to me forever. I will betroth you to me in righteousness and in justice, in steadfast love and in mercy.

Tweet: it takes 30 days to make a habit; so let's make uplifting our marriages a habit this monthIf you missed the post about #30daymarriagechallenge, go check it out now! It's less of a challenge and more of an encouragement! It's one small task a day designed to bring your spouse to the front of your mind! It's said that it takes 30 days to make a habit; so let's make uplifting our marriages a habit this month! Take some time and pray over the next 30 days with your spouse and make a decision to focus on your relationship this month!

Today's challenge is to ask your spouse "What can I do for you today?" Have you asked them? What was their response?

Are they like my spouse who wouldn't think twice and just say, 'Umm nothing that I can think of'? Then get creative! Come up with something!!

-Make them a special meal
-Do an errand for them
-Do a chore they would normally do
-Give a massage
-Make efforts to "speak" to them in their love language
-Let him do something he enjoys
-Have a conversation about something she is passionate about
-Prepare his clothes/lunch for work
-Make her a special drink she likes
-Pray together about something that is affecting him/her

Okay, maybe you're thinking but I already do these things! Then find something else you can do. Most importantly you aren't waiting for his response or reaction. Unfortunately, some of our spouses might not even notice! This month isn't about getting them to recognize your efforts...we are focusing on changing our own perception of our daily marriage!

I'm praying for my marriage and I'm praying for yours too!!

Speaking of prayers! Today we say good bye to Tammy! She has blessed us with her presence over these past two months and been an amazing sponsor on the blog! I've loved getting to know her better! I ask that you don't let her family leave your mind just yet.

Tammy emailed me late last week expressing a request for prayer. With her permission, I'm bringing this to y'all as well! Tammy's husband Steve has been diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. For those of you who don't know about this disease, please take a moment to scan through the information. It is a progressive lung disease for which there is no actual cure. The only treatment is to find the cause and attempt to slow down the progression. My grandmother had also suffered from this. I can only imagine what Tammy's family is no going through!

Tammy is asking for prayers for her family. We pray firstly for Steve. We can imagine this is a scary time for him. We pray for strength and reliance on the Lord. Secondly, we pray for the doctors treating him. We pray that the Spirit guides them in their work and touch. We pray also for the Spirits touch over Steves life! We know the miracles God can achieve and if it is His will, we pray for miraculous healing today! We pray for their family. May they have the bond of a thousand warriors. May the Spirit grace them with peace and comfort. Lastly, we pray for Tammy! I pray for peace over her spirit. I pray that she finds the strength each day to get down on her knees knowing Jesus will not bring their family to a valley they cannot pass. I pray that she will be a light on dark days and a warm blanket in the cold! I pray that her touch will be a healing one both physically and emotionally! Thank you and praise the Lord to all of those praying with us!

You can contact Tammy at email, Facebook, Twitter and on her blog to show support for her family!
