Letting Go of the Fear

Recently, I spoke about a promotion Hubby might be able to get. He currently works in the spares industry; meaning he sells car parts!

Truthfully, I am so super proud of him! He has worked extremely hard this last year to prove himself within the company, to build up his clientele, and truly get to know the business. And I know it hasn’t been easy at times!

Late last year, we started noticing a shift in how things were happening. Simply, from what he was telling me the manager and area manager said and the extra duties he was doing...I could see that they were impressed with him. Then he got asked early this year to go assist another store in a stock take. For these stores, stock take is a weekend long job and takes multiple people.

It was a huge boost for Hubby. It meant a lot to be requested for something like this. So when the position for a manager at this other branch came available, I started praying about it.

Conquering PPD: Step 2 Recognizing the Changes

I spoke in the first installment of Conquering PPD about step one of my healing process. I spoke about finding the shift. This means that I searched myself and my life for that time in which my outlook on life changed. When did I go from being positive to negative? Please....I really encourage you to go back and read it!

I don’t want to bore you with a thousand and two details....because God knows I will. So, I’ve written and rewritten this next post probably 30 times! ;-) It’s also difficult not to intermingle the steps.

Each step was significant for me and came at separate times, but when looking back they over lap so tremendously that it is hard not to forecast to the next post! So bare with me if I see a little jumbled!

You see, once you admit you need help (which is a very hard step) and see a doctor....it doesn’t just magically go away. Oh...how I wish it did.

In all reality, it becomes a daily struggle that you need to work through. You need to learn new coping mechanisms and figure out what triggers you.

But you have to begin somewhere....
Disclaimer: I am not a doctor and by no means am I a psychiatric professional. I do not attempt to in any way claim expertise on the matter or suggest that a person use my words as a means of therapy. This is merely my experience and what helped me.

When God Has Other Plans {God Revealed}

I know I'm supposed to be posting for my third installment of Kids 'n Worship, but something went awry with my plans!

You see, God does that sometimes. He takes what you want to do and throws it out the window and says 'I've got something else in mind, something better even!' And we've just got to trust Him enough to go along with it!

My plan is to have the third installment up next week Tuesday {or possibly even later this week! Keep checking back!} but for now you're welcome to go back and read Part 1 and Part 2.

Otherwise, stick around now and read up later!

Catching Up

So...I’ve taken a bit of a break. I can’t exactly tell you why...no, it’s not because I don’t trust all of you! It’s simply because I don’t really have a reason. I guess I just got sidetracked.

Life is fluid. It moves, it evolves, it changes and it is constantly taking us with it regardless of whether we want it to or are ready for it to. For the past couple of months, I’ve just been flowing with this wonderful life God has blessed me with.
